    Focus 2 : Wine Region

    Jurançon:

At the foot of the Pyrenees and a few minutes from Pau, the Jurançon is a dry or mellow white wine composed of large Manseng and small Manseng.
The dry wine has notes of peach and white flowers that will go perfectly on a sweet/salty salad.
His cousin in mellow has notes of honey that will perfectly accompany a foie gras or simply as an aperitif.
It is also a good time for you to visit Pau, its Place Royale, its historic district or to enjoy the view of the boulevard des Pyrénées.

    Cahors:

By following the river the Lot, nestling on the terraces and the semi hillsides you inevitably find Malbec.
With lean pebble and gravel soils, the winemakers develop solid tannic reds. The Cahors has a good guard, but it can also be consumed young.
Visit the medieval town of Cahors, rich in a history of more than 2,000 years, it reserves you magnificent buildings such as the Valentré Bridge and the Cathedral of Saint-Etienne
Around the city you could also stroll to Saint-Cirq Lapopie, visit the cave of Pech Merle, the castles, or even enjoy the beach with pterosaurs

    Gaillac:

Gaillac is about 50 kilometres northeast of Toulouse.
The winemakers of the appellation offer a wide range of wines: red, white dry or sweet (including late harvest), rosé, sparkling and pearly.
The special feature of this region is the fact that local grape varieties such as Mauzac, Ondenc and Duras continue to be used.
On either side of the Tarn, discover the small village of Gaillac, its Abbey St-Michel, the Church St Pierre, the Place du Griffoul, the private hotels of Yversen and the Museum of Fine Arts of Foucaud. Don't miss also the Cité d'Albi and its famous red bricks or the hilltop village of Cordes-sur-ciel perched.
