  • Focus 1 : Loire Valley

From Nantes to Sancerre and Saumur to Vouvray, you will find your little heaven.
From dry white wines, great liqueurs or effervescents to rustic or elegant red nectars, these majestic landscapes registered as a UNESCO World heritage offer many jewels. This walk around the longest vineyard in France follows the Loire which cuts France in two. On either side of the coastline, the landscape is dotted with castles more grandiose than each other. This is one of the best place in France to enjoy architectures, particularly with Chambord, Chenonceau, Villandry, Cheverny, Royal de Blois… The entire world envy these wonders : indeed, the region gathers part of the jewels of the heritage and history.
Often less evoked than its wines and castles, the region is the cradle of many gourmet specialities: Fish, deli meats or goat cheese, to name but a few.
While the territories by the sea will give you a breath of fresh air, the remote terroirs will reveal all the authenticity of the Loire.
Invite yourself to troglodytes cellars, cycle through the galleries dug into the tuffeau or board a traditional flat-bottomed boat... there are a thousand ways to discover what the Chenin, Sauvignon blanc, Cabernet franc or Pinot noir produce here.

    Focus 2 : Wine region

    Anjou-Saumur:

In Maine-et-Loire, the Anjou and Saumur vineyards reveal themselves in a landscape marked by many rivers, on the slopes of the Loire, Layon, Aubance, Thouet…
We count on this sector 19 appellations, offering a beautiful diversity of wine, with one thing in common: the Chenin Blanc!
The reputation of the Anjou is due to the mellow white wines, of which the best known are the Cotaux-du-Layon. For a few years now, we have seen semi-dry, dry and red wines appear for the delight of the epicureans!

In the Saumurois sector, the region's wines are best known for their high-growth sparkling wines, the most famous being the Saumur and Crémant-de-Loire AOCs.

    The Nantais country:

Around Nantes, slightly overlooking the Loire-Atlantique and the Vendée, discover the appellations Muscadet, Muscadet-coteaux-de-la-loire, Muscadet-Sèvre-et-maine, Muscadet-côtes-de-grand-lieu, as well as the AOVDQS large-plant in the Nantes region, Ancenis hills and fiefs-Vendéens. In this region with sunny hillsides, despite the presence of reds and rosés it is the whites from the Melon of Burgundy that dominate. This gold-coloured grape variety offers a beautiful minerality and a perfect balance between acidity, roundness and aromas.

    La Touraine:

The valleys are linked and the vineyards too, the valley of the Loire, the Cher, the Indre, the Vienna propose their most beautiful appellations.
those more tannic of Chinon or Bourgueil and
Taste the light reds (and sometimes primeur) of the Touraine appellation, those more tannic of Chinon or Bourgueil.
Discover rosés that are more or less dry depending on the harvest, just like the whites of Azay-le-Rideau or Amboise, and those of Vouvray and Montlouis that are also vinified in mellow or effervescent wines.

    The vineyards of the Centre
From the coasts of Forez to Orléanais, on the coast of Auvergne, while remaining on the Loire basin, the wines of the center offer their most beautiful expressions.

The siliceous or limestone soils of these regions have very few grape varieties, including two main ones, gamay for red and rosé wines, and sauvignon for white wines.
However other grape varieties are present and offer some of the many specialities of the vineyard, Chasselas in Pouilly-sur-Loire for whites, Sauvignon and Pinot noir in Sancerre, Menetou-Salon and Reuilly for reds and rosés, or the miller who offers the original «miller grey».
